EVI Heat Pumps How it works Enhanced Vapour Injection introduces a second, intermediate-pressure injection of refrigerant vapour into the scroll compressor mid-compression. This sub-cools the liquid refrigerant heading to the evaporator and cools the compressor itself, so the machine maintains capacity and discharge temperature at ambient temperatures where a conventional air source heat pump would lose most of its output. The result is direct heating to 60°C at outdoor temperatures as low as −25°C, without electric backup. Construction and features EVI Scroll compressors for efficiency, durability and quiet running; electronic expansion valve; vertical fan discharge; stainless steel or powder-coated steel cabinet built to withstand severe climates. Self-diagnostic digital control panel that monitors and troubleshoots operation. Compatible with conventional radiator systems, which keeps retrofit capital cost down since existing emitters need not be resized. Specifications SE-EVI-10U through SE-EVI-70U, covering 10.3 to 69.8 KW. COP 4.42 to 4.58 (up to 5 in favorable conditions), rated hot water output 220 to 1,500 LPH, rated outlet 55°C and maximum 60°C. Single-phase on the 10 KW model, three-phase 380–415 V above that. R407C/R410A refrigerant, ambient range −25 to 43°C, noise 59–68 dB(A), weights 107 to 552 kg. Applications Hotels, resorts, hospitals, boarding schools and apartment complexes in hill stations, northern India and other cold regions; also space heating for houses.
